Botticelli was born in 1445 in Florence, Italy. Although he was a magnificant artist he did poorly in school. When he could have been studying, he spent his time drawing. When he became a famous artist, he lived and worked in Florence, Italy. Botticelli was an Italian Renaissance artist. He is the painter of La Primavera and Birth of Venus. They are two of his most famous paintings.
